We, at QCC, think that skin care is your own journey and it is not meant to be an exact guide. So instead of introducing and recommending the well-known 10 steps skin care routine as a necessity, we would rather introduce them as a skin care “menu “. Familiarize yourself with all the categories, and then choose what suits your skin type. But remember, a properly performed and organized skin  care routine often consists of several skin care products applied daily. A beauty ritual that is guaranteed to give you and your skin not only visible results, but also a delicious spa feeling at home in your own  bathroom. It’s about achieving an impeccable, healthy and glowing skin. Read about the different steps below and find out what works best for you and your skin: cleanser – toner – essence- sheet mask – serum / ampoule – eye cream – face cream – sunscreen.

1. Cleansing Gel
Using a cleansing gel is one of the first steps to a cleaner and healthier complexion. The cleansers have the role of removing impurities, excess sebum and certain residues left after makeup. Cleansing the skin has the role of removing dead cells, unblocks pores and helps reduce blackheads.

How is it used?
The cleansing gel is used in the morning and in the evening. Apply on damp skin, massage well and then rinse with lukewarm water.

2. Toner
Tonic lotions regulate the pH of the skin after using a cleanser. This product prepares the skin for the application of serums and moisturizers and helps to remove excess sebum without drying the skin. Refreshes, purifies and tones the skin.

How is it used?
Apply on a cleansing disk, then gently dab the face. It can also be applied directly to the palms, they are lightly pressed on the face. The toner is used after using the cleansing gel and before emollients.

3. Essence
The essences are the epicenter of the Korean skin care routine, as they moisturize from within. The essences are a “combination” between toner and serum with a light, watery consistency, water being their main ingredient. Their purpose is to hydrate and form a protective barrier so that hydration is long lasting and sustained throughout the day. In addition to the ingredients that give skin hydration, they also contain antioxidants and minerals that help nourish the skin.

How is it used?
Apply a suitable amount in the palms and massage on the skin with light movements until it is completely absorbed into the skin. Apply after the tonic lotion.

4. SERUM/Ampoule
The serums are produced with a fluid and emollient consistency with a high concentration of active ingredients that target certain specific skin problems such as fine wrinkles, lack of elasticity, insufficient hydration, pigment spots, imperfections, etc. The results are visible from the first applications.

How is it used?
After the essence or toner, apply 2-3 drops and massage gently on the face and neck until it is completely absorbed.

5. Sheet Mask
Sheet masks are made of textiles (lyocell fibers, cellulose, cotton, etc.) and are essentially soaked. They take the shape of the face, and the napkin helps this essence stay on the surface of the skin for longer, allowing the skin to extract as much as it needs. Also, the sheet prevents the evaporation of the essential ingredients, prolonging the time for the active substances to penetrate deep into the skin. Depending on your skin needs, sheet masks moisturize, soothe, nourish and regenerate.

How is it used?
Apply on clean skin, after cleansing or after using toner and leave on for 10-20 minutes, depending on the instructions on the package. Remove the mask and massage the excess essence into the skin.

6. Eye Cream
The skin around the eyes is more fragile and delicate than the skin on the face and requires special care. Regular use of an eye cream keeps the skin hydrated and elastic, fades and prevents the appearance of fine wrinkles and helps reduce dark circles.

How is it used?
Apply the right amount and gently dab the eye area with your little finger until it is completely absorbed. Avoid the water line!

7. Moisturizer
Moisturizers come in various forms (emulsions, lotions, creams, gels, night masks) and their role is to deeply moisturize and nourish the skin. Hydration maintains the elasticity of the skin and thus prevents the appearance of dynamic wrinkles caused by repeated muscle contraction. The moisturizer also has the role of sealing the properties of previously applied products (serums / essences).

How is it used?
After the essence or serum, apply an appropriate amount and massage gently on the face and neck until it is completely absorbed into the skin.

8. Cream with sun protection factor
Applying a face cream with sun protection factor is the last step in the skin care routine, so that it protects the skin from solar radiation without overlapping with other routine products. Daily use of a sunscreen is the most effective way to prevent premature aging of the skin, as well as unsightly spots that can occur due to the sun.

How is it used?
Apply an appropriate amount as the last step of the morning routine, after applying the moisturizer. Massage and dab lightly until completely absorbed into the skin. Reapply during the day, preferably once every 2-3 hours.
